Roger Waters has lost millions because human rights have priority over money!

Stop being scared & stand up & be counted

Roger Waters of Pink Floyd

Roger Waters, the primary composer and lyricist of Pink Floyd, during their most prominent years, has for decades, used his music  to convey a message of peace and humanity.

One issue he has totally right is the issue of Palestinian suffering at the hands of Israeli war, occupation and economic blockade. For over ten years, Waters has made the issue of Palestinian freedom a central point in his music and accompanying dramatic stage shows.

Waters is part of the Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions movement which encourages individuals to boycott Israeli products and tourism. Waters uses his status as a “music legend”  to highlight the plight of Palestinians. In 2012 he spoke at the United Nations on the issue. He frequently pens open letters to fellow musicians asking them to refrain from performing in Israel until a meaningful peace settlement is reached.

John Legend Speaks Up for Human Rights of Palestinians

Speak up for human rights for Palestininians

John Legend

American award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer, John Legend, recently spoke out about standing up for human rights for Palestinians while on the “Real Time With Bill Maher” show.

Legend appeared, on Saturday, on the “Real Time With Bill Maher” show on HBO with American comedian and political commentator Bill Maher, where he discussed the #MeTooMovement, anti-Semitic comments made by Ilham Omar, and the current situation in Venezuela.

“As progressives, we should also speak up for human rights for Palestinians, and for too long, I think, it has been out of bounds for progressives to speak up for the rights of Palestinians.”

Legend gave a speech for graduates at the University of Pennsylvania, during which he urged the audience to humanize Palestinians, by saying, “It means we see a young Palestinian kid not as a future security threat or demographic challenge, but as a future father, mother and lover.”

PEOPLE FROM EVERY WALK OF LIFE ARE SPEAKING UP FOR PALESTINE

WORKING ON A DREAM FOR JUSTICE, NOT APARTHEID

Not falling for the propaganda any longer

Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen: “Working on a Dream for justice, not apartheid The establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 is directly linked to several massacres, deliberate expulsions, the destruction of over 400 Palestinian villages and the systematic dispossession of the indigenous Palestinian people.

More than 700,000 Palestinians became refugees in neighboring countries due to Israel’s violent establishment in 1948 in Palestine. Palestinian refugees and their descendants are the largest population of refugees in the world, who have for the last 65 years been denied the “right to return” to their homes by the State of Israel.

While Israeli supporters “celebrate” Israeli Independence Day, Palestinians, progressive Israelis, supporters of justice and peace-loving peoples of the world mark the day as Al-Nakba (meaning the “catastrophe”).”

Bruce Springsteen has refrained from booking apartheid Israel.
